HIKERS
1. PREPARATION
- Health condition,
Equipment / attire, Exercise
2. FOCUS / ATTENTION
- Pay attention to both
trail in front and the one under your feet. You are not just walking!
3. WEARING A PROPER ATTIRE / EQUIPMENTS
- Boot, shoes, sandals, hat/
cap, sunblock
-walking stick
- Avoid wearing make-up as
you’ll just sweat it off.
- don’t spray yourself
with strong scents as they can attract both animal and insect life
4. KNOWLEDGE
i. Geography, map, GPS

Unpredictable especially
on mountain and rainforest
iii. Miscalculating
Reach the peak/ set point
is only fulfill halfway of your target. Another one is to return to the
starting point with save condition.
5. SAFETY
i. Inform your relatives
and the authorities or your friends where you will be.
ii. Back up emergency

iii. Wild animal
– you are not at zoo.
Animal could quickly become dangerous if they feel threatened.

6. LEAVE NO TRACE
Take only photographs and
leave only your foot print!!!
7. RESPECT
i. Nature – If
you need to go "number one," do so far away from the trail and any
natural water sources. If you need to go "number two," dig a hole
first and cover it when you are done. Carry toilet paper with you, or use a
leaf to wipe — just make sure it's not poisonous!
